John, a Muslim group much larger than Al-Qaida has just declared war on the West. Al-Qaida declared war on America and the West in August 1996 and no one paid attention. This is a much more potent, much larger group.
 
Interestingly, it has been noted that whenever man approaches God on earth he approaches from east to west. It is always true in scripture. The Tabernacle faces east, always east. The entrance was on the east side. Num 3:38. The priest serving his duties in the Tabernacle (and later the Temple) was therefore facing west, his back to the rising sun. Pagans typically face east in their services.
 
When Jacob wandered, he went east. When Adam and Eve sinned, they went east. When Cain sinned he went east.  The cherubim were positioned at the eastern entrance to keep sin out on Eden.When Esau left, it was east. When Lot left Abraham it was EAST. When Israel was carried away  into captivity it was always to the EAST..
 
When man approaches God it is always going west in scripture. Jacob and his sons went west to join Joseph in Egypt. When Israel enters the promised land they were heading west. Returning from captivity in Babylon, they must go west to Israel. Jacob returns home, going west. The elect of Israel will return home after Antichrist is defeated, going west. The priest  always entered the Tabernacle going West and faced the alters looking west. When the priest leaves the Temple he goes east, the wrong way. We are all sinners, having tried both directions. It is one of those little distinctions demonstrating that the Bible is no ordinary book, it is designed every jot and tittle. A consistent, unobtrusive, hidden pattern , weaving its way through scripture.

Over the ages, the Gospel has moved around the earth from east to west. It has now circled the sphere. Evil has declared war on the west.
