Romans 9:27-28
"Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved. For He will finish the work AND CUT IT SHORT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, because the Lord WILL MAKE A SHORT WORK UPON THE EARTH."

Mark 13:19-20
"For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. And unless the Lord had SHORTENED THOSE DAYS, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, HE SHORTENED THOSE DAYS."

Daniel 12:11
"And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDERD AND NINETY DAYS."

CONCLUSION:
The 'last-half' of the 70th Week of Daniel is 1,290 days in length which when divided by 30 days per Hebrew month is exactly forty-three (43) months long.

Revelation 13:5
"And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given AUTHORITY TO CONTINUE FOR FORTY-TWO (42) MONTHS."

CONCLUSION:
Therefore, of the forty-three (43) month long (1,290 day) second-half of the 70th Week of Daniel, forty-two (42) months are given to satan's authority leaving the tribulation SHORTENED BY EXACTLY 'ONE HEBREW MONTH' OR 30 DAYS.
