I've seen the discussions about the timing of the Two Witnesses. The other day I was reading my back-up Bible a "New Living Testament" (See below) and it clearly states that they will will prophesy during those 1,260 days or 42 months that the Holy City will be trampled. Then I pulled out a John MacArthur Study Bible he says they are given their power and are used "during the second half of the Tribulation". In verse one John is told to "measure the Temple of God" so it seems that the Temple is standing when the Two Witnesses are introduced to us. Revelation 11:1-3  The Two Witnesses 1 Then I was given a measuring stick, and I was told, "Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers. 2 But do not measure the outer courtyard, for it has been turned over to the nations. They will trample the holy city for 42 months. 3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will be clothed in sackcloth and will prophesy during those 1,260 days." NLT
