"Possible Rapture Date"
John,
I have a theory for a possible
rapture date. This theory is based on Noah and the flood.
We know that the Bible account of Noah and the flood is a picture of
the rapture and subsequent tribulation period. In Genesis 7:1, we
read "And the Lord said unto Noah, come thou and all thy house into the
ark, for thee have I seen righteous before me in this
generation." In Genesis 7:4, we read "For yet seven days, and I
will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and
every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the
face of the earth." In Genesis 7:11-12, we read "In the six
hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month (which is Cheshvan),
the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains
of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were
opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty
nights." The Treaty of Balfour, which gave Israel back the land
of Palestine, was on November 2, 1917. According to the Jewish
calendar, this date is on Cheshvan 17, the same day that the flood
started. When God told Noah to enter the ark, he indicated that
in seven days, the flood would start. Cheshvan 17 this year is on
November 4th. If you go back 7 days from this date, you arrive at
Tuesday, October 27th. There is exactly 7 days between October
27th and November 4th. I believe the rapture will happen at
midnight, October 26th Jerusalem time. Since God probably does
not observe Daylight Savings Time, this would convert to 4:00 pm on
October 26th in the Central Time Zone in the United States. As
the other Doves have expressed, I sure hope the rapture takes place
this year. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus ! ! !
