"re:  Darell Mosely, Halloween"

~ or perhaps it's better called:  HELL-oween.   Darell, per your letter:  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2009/darellm1029-2.htm

Could not agree with you MORE!!  http://www.blessed-hope.com/index_files/Page610.htm

I find it incredibly sad when CHRISTIANS who are to know the truth, go ahead & make light of it & celebrate it ANYWAY!!   I can't help wonder how they will have to give an account to the Lord for that.   Remember, the Apostle Paul rec'd forgiveness & mercy for his past sins ~ as he did them "in ignorance", but those who know the score & yet go ahead & participate & blend in with the world anyway.....

Well??!!  .... let's just say, I wouldn't wanna' be in their shoes on judgment day.
Holiness & sanctification is all about being SET APART FROM the world.   While we are IN the world; we are not OF the world.  We ARE to be different and not be conformed to this world {Romans 12:2}

***** Chuck Missler says that for a Christian to celebrate Halloween -- that's like Holocaust survivors celebrating Hitler's birthday!! *****   Definitely good food for thought!

Anton LeVey, head of the worshippers of satan, said that he was glad the Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year.

Still on the bubble?   Some Scriptures to consider ....

James 1:27  RE:  ("keep oneself from being polluted by the world")

3 John 1:11  RE: ("do not imitate what is evil")

Romans 12:9  RE: ("abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.")

Deuteronomy 18:9-14  RE: (do not learn to imitate detestable ways, including spiritists, sorcerers and witchcraft)

Ephesians 5:11-12  RE: ("Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness" / "live as children of light")

1 Timothy 4:1  RE: (don't "follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons")

2 Corinthians 6:14-17 RE: ("what fellowship can light have with darkness?")

Philippians 4:8  RE: (think about pure, lovely, noble things)

1 Corinthians 11:1  RE: ("follow the example of Christ")

1 Corinthians 10:31  RE: ("whatever you do, … do everything for the glory of God")

2 Corinthians 6:14-17  RE: ("what fellowship can light have with darkness?")

Romans 13:12  RE: ("put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.")

There is absolutely no doubt that real Christians should ~NOT~ participate in Halloween.... no matter how a person slices it & dices it & packages it pretty.

Thanks for your letter to remind people.
