"To Eliane- The Mark of the Beast is for Christians"

To: Elaine- The Mark of the Beast is designed to deceive Christians

Six years ago when studying the Sermon on the Mount I made the same conclusion as you have . When I tried to present the idea it was considered almost blasphemous because of  Revelation 14:9-10:   “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb”   Notice that there is an “AND” in those verses concerning the mark.   So I put the idea away waiting for someone else to confirm that it was of God, and you have done that.   You are correct in your posting of October 6, 2008 that Jesus has indeed prescribed an anti-dote to the mark of the beast. This anti-dote is prophesied in the sermon on the mount in chapter 5 of Matthew as Jesus  is defining what adultery actually is. Jesus tells us that long before we actually commit adultery with our bodies the sin of adultery itself begins in our mind. So after Jesus tells us what adultery is he tells us  in  Matthew 5:29-30

"If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.”

Well, that will not prevent us from committing adultery will it?  Because even we were to remove our sex organs Jesus just told us that adultery was a sin that originates in the mind, therefore removing any part of our body would not prevent adultery according to Jesus definition. Therefore He cannot be talking about physical adultery when He prescribes the removal of the RIGHT HAND or RIGHT EYE.   What Jesus is talking about is IDOLATRY which is spiritual adultery.   Remember we are the Bride of Christ,  Satan’s goal is to seduce  Christians in any way he can in order to have us  be unfaithful to Jesus.   Jesus will have none of Satan’s attempts to remove us from Him and if we repent He will accept us back.   Rom. 8-38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6   “I beheld, the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them”,  Daniel 7:21   “…and he shall wear out the saints of the Most High…”;  Daniel 7:25   “ and it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them”,   Revelation 13:7

The Mark of the Beast is designed for Christians, Satan does not need to deceive the lost, they are already deceived, Satan just needs to keep the lost where they are. Christians on the other hand need to be deceived.     Be alert, don’t be deceived, DON’T TAKE THE MARK
