Folks,
Here's something to think about (see below). It is becoming apparentto me that I need to research things more than what I have been. Andbe slower to rest on certain dates. I'm not drawing any conclusionsat this point, but I find the following quote interesting.
The question I'm posing here has to do with the seven weeks mentionedin Daniel 9:25. Do we really know when this commandment was given? Ithink a lot of us assumed it was the day Jerusalem was restored,6/7/1967. Let's first figure out what "commandment to restore and tobuild Jerusalem" means and then see if it happened some time aroundthe 6 day war. I'm including one quote (below). But this does notmean I necessarily think it was the fulfillment of Daniel 9:25.

"Ten days after the taking of al-Haram al-Sharif, Moshe Dayan orderedthe Islamic holy site returned to the control of Muslims and that itbe open to all Muslims in Israel and the West Bank. On June 24, 1967,5,000 faithful flocked to it for prayers.
"Two days later, the Israeli government announced that as of the nextday, Jerusalem would be declared officially reunited."
