Dear Doves,

 

As I sit here at the keyboard watching and ready to be raptured today, I ask myself:  DID JESUS TELL US 'THE SIGN' TO WATCH FOR ?

 

Matthew 12:39  (the statement)

"A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But NONE will be given it EXCEPT THE SIGN OF THE PROPHET JONAH."

 

Matthew 16:4  (and again the statement)

"A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but NONE will be given it EXCEPT THE SIGN OF JONAH."

 

Luke 11:29  (and again the statement)

"This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but NONE will be given it EXCEPT THE SIGN OF JONAH."

 

Luke 11:30  (and now the statement telling us that 'Jonah and Jesus' are like 'signs')

"For as JONAH WAS A SIGN to the Ninevites, so ALSO WILL THE SON OF MAN BE to this generation."

 

 

SO WHAT WAS 'THE SIGN OF JONAH' ?

 

Jonah 3:4 ('Jonah' as a 'sign')

"FORTY MORE DAYS and Nineveh will be destroyed."

 

Acts 1:3 (the 'Son of Man' as a 'sign')

"He appeared to them over a PERIOD OF FORTY DAYS and spoke about the Kingdom of God."

 

 

Conclusion:

As the 'Sign of Jonah' was to give a 'FORTY DAY SIGN' to warn that 'wicked generation', so also the 'Sign of Man' may give us a 'FORTY DAY SIGN' to warn this 'wicked generation'. There is exactly a 'FORTY DAY PERIOD' between Resurrection Day and Ascension Day in the Year 5769.

Are we to watch for 'A SIGN' BEGINNING ON 'RESURRECTION DAY' AND CONTINUING FORTY DAYS TO 'ASCENSION DAY' next spring ? Will 'ASCENSION DAY' next May be our 'RAPTURE DAY' after receiving a 'FORTY DAY SIGN' as a warning?

What if the 'FORTY DAY SIGN' given to this wicked generation is that "the dead in Christ will rise first" on 'Resurrection Day' - which is  FORTY DAYS prior to  'Ascension Day', and "After that, we who are still alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" FORTY DAYS later.
