Daniel 11:37 kept coming to me in regards to Obama as AC. I was thinking that he could not be the AC because he is married, but I had forgotten the second commentary below. So here it is for anyone else who may be confused on the issue as I was. :-)

Although, I do have a Question:

As far as not regarding the God of his fathers, couldn't we ultimately say that YHWH was the God of Ishmael, in the ultimate sense? I know that Allah is not the same as the God of the Christians and Jews, but Ishmael was Abraham's son. So wouldn't YHWH , in that sense, be the God of his fathers?

 I cannot keep up wiht every post here, as much as I would like to, so perhaps this has already been said and I missed it. :-)

So here is the verse and then the commentary below:

Dan 11:37  He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 

 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women: Based on this, some Bible scholars believe that the Antichrist will be of Jewish descent, and perhaps will also be a homosexual. These things may not be popularly known about the man, but they may be true nonetheless.

 But many commentators believe that the desire of women refers to Jesus, in that all women desired the honor of bearing the Messiah and understanding "desire" as it is used in Haggai 2:7. Seeing the desire of women as Jesus makes most sense in light of the flow of context.
