Peggy - I grew up in the same world you had - BEFORE the PG-13 movies when most movies were clean - at least the ones on the TV were! The cheerleaders in our basketballs games in high school didn't look like burlesque dancers (i.e. cowboy's cheerleaders), nor did they get on the floor half-dressed and do obscene dances. I actually heard one of these modern cheerleaders say that she was from a "Christian" college. Uh-huh, right. What is wrong with the MOMS out there that send their sons and daughters to do this?  What was that Jesus said - if you even look after a woman with lust, you commit adultery WITH her in your heart! Women ARE responsible for the way they dress - for the effect it has on men, some of whom are total strangers to them. God never intended for women to get in front of huge crowds half-naked doing burlesque dances and calling them "cheers." There is no difference between what they are doing and what the pin ups (pin-heads) are doing in the male magazines. Both are causing men to lust after them. Do they not know that they will have to give an account for this? I can't begin to tell you how many times I have been in the mall and seen girls probably as young as 9 and 11 running around half-naked and dressed the same way and the moms think it is so "cute." And we wonder why this nation is plagued with pedophiles? God help us!
