Hi Laurie:  Thanks for your comments.  I don’t have time to pull out all my scripture references but there are more than enough that show that it will be saints (glorified, resurrected, saved humans) that will return to rule and reign with Jesus for the 1000 years.  The angels (as awesome and wonderful as they are) do not receive an earthly inheritance – as will the saints.    I do realize that there is a spiritual battle – but there will also be a physical earthly battle to happen in the valley of Armageddon.

I once read on www.divinerevelations.info of a vision someone had of being raptured and returning with Christ to Israel on horses over the mountains through the sky.  If you read Joel chapter 2 it describes this very scene, of a great warring army of “super humans” skipping on the mountain tops, scaling the walls, marching in rank and defeating the enemies of the Lord on “the day of the Lord”.  This is what is also described in Revelation 19.

I know there are Christians who may have a problem with the imagery of a brutal war or the concept of being world rulers with Christ but I cannot deny the Word.  If you study the prophets, you will see when the Lord RETURNS it will be a day of bloodshed and reckoning with rebellious humans – as well as the subduing of dark spiritual forces (i.e. Satan bound and thrown into the pit).  The Bible says that Jesus will return and rule the world with a rod of iron and that WE will co-rule with Him with a rod of iron – IF we are victorious in this life (See Rev 2:25-29).  I am believing the promise of God for my life that I may be worthy to escape the things to come and that on that appointed day I (we) will be able to rule and reign the world alongside my (our) Messiah (even as we rule and reign now in a spiritual sense).  A resurrected saint will have more power and ability than we can now comprehend.
