Thank you guys for sharing about the bright morning star. I prayed for the Lord to show it to me and he woke me up at like 3:40 and (after dragging out of bed) I went to look in the east and there it was – big, bright and glorious. (…there shall be signs in the sun, moon, stars…) At about 6 am it was high in the eastern sky – quite dazzling.I wanted to share why I’m on personal “watch” alert this weekend (Oct 12-13). For the record, I’m not a "date setter" and fully believe the no man knows the day or hour of the Lord's return, even though we all hope and believe that it can be any day now. I was hoping that the Lord would come during Rosh Hashanah in September this year based on numerous dreams, visions and words that people received about the Jewish New Year. I believed that the Holy Spirit may have been speaking and was a little perplexed when nothing happened. Anyway, Jim Bramlett shared a revised calendar from the site www.truthofyahweh.org which says that the traditional Jewish calendar is incorrect and they have a corrected calendar based on the Biblical guidelines of beginning the new year on the New Moon of Abib and not 1st Tishri. (Thanks Jim! I don’t know how you find this stuff!) I was skeptical but figured that it’s possible (both Jews and Gentiles could have man-made traditions to throw our calendars off). But I felt better after I was able to find another separate source that agreed that the true Biblical calendar is slightly different than the traditional Jewish calendar. This website http://home.alphalink.com.au/~sanhub/bibcal.htm has a very long discourse and explanation on why the traditional Jewish calendar is in error.
Anyway, on the “corrected calendar” Rosh Hashanah is this weekend – Friday night / Saturday (Shabbat). After studying the calendar for a while, I remembered hearing about a prophesy from a messianic believer who claimed the Lord told her back in ’98 / ’05 that he would return for His bride on a Sabbath and on a Rosh Hashanah (New Year - which is traditionally a 2 day event). It’s a very rare occurrence but if the corrected calendar is correct, then that actually happens this Saturday (starting Friday night). I also heard about at least 3 other dreams or visions where the Lord specifically said He’s coming on Rosh Hashanah and that the church would not enter the Jewish year. However, I’m fully aware that our dreams, visions, words can be misinterpreted and that we need wisdom and discernment. For the Lord could come today! Who knows. No man KNOWS the day or hour but He has COMMANDED us to WATCH so that’s what I’m doing and wanted to share that this weekend could possibly be significant. We won't know until it actually happens.
The Lord may not come this weekend but man, if He did – I would say “perfect timing”! :) Oh, and one other cool thing! While in Israel this summer we picked up a Messianic Jewish calendar which has all kinds of extra information not in regular calendars. And every Sabbath, there is a universal Torah reading and theme, for all Jews worldwide, scheduled for review at the Synagogue. Guess what this weekend’s Sabbath’s reading is: Genesis 6:9-11:32 on Noah! (But as the days of NOAH were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be…one will be taken and the other left…Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming). Matthew 24:38-42.
We seem to have a lot of signs that we are in the season. And the Lord did tell 2 different Christians, in the last few weeks, that the time of the rapture is now. However we must continue to have patience, wait and see. Some food for thought!
Waiting for my Prince of Peace,
Princess
