Goodness, I’m with you girls… I sure can’t remember the exact date!  I was raised to love the Lord before I even understood what it was all about… my parents ALWAYS talked about God!  They adopted me at 2 weeks old, and had me christened at 3 weeks old… here’s a photo after the christening with my Daddy:

My earliest church memories, though, started when I was around 3 or 4.  We went to a Methodist church with my Aunt and Uncle.  They were working on it, I remember, because you could see the pipes in the ceiling.  Then when I was around 7, we began going to Rittenhouse Baptist Church in Houston, and went there the whole time I lived at home.  I was baptized when I was 12 (I’m 54 now, so I SURE don’t remember the date!), and my cousin, who is like the perfect big sister (10 years older than me) held my hand and walked up the aisle with me.  In most Baptist churches, you have to have reached the “age of accountability” before they will baptize you, and that is usually 12 years old or older.

Then as an adult (when I was married to Kirby), I was affirmed Lutheran.  So I figured I was covered on all based!

I’m with you, Dawn, I really don’t think it matters to our Father if we remember the date… He knows our hearts and our level of faith, and also like you, I have a very childlike, trusting faith in Him.

Love from your sister in Yahshua!

Peggy
