I don't know about you all, but I grew up with family where, one practiced contacting the dead, the other one proclaimed years ago that they thought they were a warlock, and presently I have another family member who practices what is called white witchcraft, paganism, worshipping "mother earth' and is a "white witch" and at the dinner table says grace and has "Jesus pictures on her wall. She even goes to church and thinks of herself as a christian.
 
As a child we all dresssed up as satan, goblins and other scary monsters.  I think we also did some cowboy, cowgirl sort of things.  But, at my earliest recollection, I remember going to my sister's friend's house and while she spent time with her friend, her father led me to what would be lower than a basement, where I saw a pentagram on the floor and instruments used in sacrifice. I suspect I was to be the next child "offered"  but the Lord protected me and preserved me through many frightening experiences. I won't spend time on recalling other incidents as it has taken much strength in Christ, a strong knowledge of His Word, and His very supernatural intervention that spared me my adult life although much of my childhood was affected. I remember this day being a high holy day in the occult world.  It is a evening where many animals are sacrificed, children are found missing and I will not go any further for it would be too overwhelming.
 
I go to Leviticus 13:31, 20:6,27, Deut. 18:9-14.  It is very clear what God has to say about this kind of thing.  The celebration of the dead has it roots in paganism.  What does light have to do with darkness?  We, like the Israelites are to not take on the culture of the nation we find ourselves in.  We are to be an example to the nations. We are to be lights in an ever darkening world leading culture to the Truth of Christ. Satan has always attempted to mix truth with error to diffuse the purity of God's Word.
 
The only thing I think we as believers need to do is preserve the purity of God's Word, the Gospel and present the Gospel.  As many are out at that time, this would be
a great opportunity to go to where many people congregate at, Malls, Movies and the like and give out good Gospel tracts, speaking with others about the Good News
of Jesus Christ and Salvation.
