Thanks for that link to the Grace Through Faith site, the article on
the present day Kurds as caucasian descendants of the ancient Medes.

This author, Kelley, believes that Babylon the Great is in the same
area as ancient Babylon;  that America, while deserving of judgment, is
not Babylon the Great, and that the Medes/Kurds will play a big part in
the final destruction of Babylon.

Interesting speculation.  This question of who is Babylon remains
unanswered.  America with it "two towers" and its ships surrounding it
sound more like it, but there is a place for the other idea.  Some say
Satan will still build his empire headquarters in Babylon/Bagdad.

One interesting writer who considers America to NOT be Babylon is Walid
Shoebat, the ex-terrorist from Bethlehem who now lives and evangelizes
for Jesus in America.  He believes America is still "better" than the
world he came from, and better than Europe, and that the antichrist
will come from the Moslem World.

Some think that the antichrist actually lived in the days after
Mohammed died, when his representative built the Dome of the Rock in
Jerusalem.  The Orthodox Christian primate of Jerusalem referred to
this builder as "anti-christ".  Of course we know there have been many
under the spirit of antichrist.   The Orthodox primate said that the
Holy of Holies had been desecrated when the Dome was built.

The whole world sins, so we are all Babylon in that sense.
