Princess- I agree with you that there will be those qualified saints that
will rule with Christ during the 1000 year reign.  That is the whole point
of the" churches "spoken of in Rev. 2 and 3 being judged.  The overcomers
are given positions that equate to positions of authority and intimacy with
Christ.  In the old testement, David is annointed to be king and yet years
and years go by before he is qualified in Gods eyes to take over that
position.  During that time David learned to rely solely on the Lord, his
ranks were built up underneath him and those that were loyal to him  endured
hardships right along with him.  They proved their faithfulness to their
future king and carried out all the positions necessary for David to
function as a sound coheasive unit.   Sound familiar- isn't that the
Christian life.  Christ has been appointed to be King of this earth, but not
yet.  Why- because all those necessary to fulfill the positions of authority
under him have yet to "prove" themselves.  This has been almost a 2000 year
process and I believe that when that quota is met and every position of
authority accounted for in Christs future activity as King- the rapture will
happen.  But there is also another aspect of Christs future activity as King
yet to be seen.  We are earthy people, and our scope of reference is in
connection with this earth.  But notice in Rev. when you finally see Christ
with a crown.  It is not until Satan has his crown forcefully taken from
him.  Just as with David and Saul, this taking of the crown is a
transference of power, and as a unit David took over the leadership of the
country.  As Christ takes over the crown of Satan, which domain does Satan
hold?  We tend to think only of this earth, but there are many references in
the Bible of a work going on in the heavenlies that directly affect things
on this earth.  Satan and his coherts must be replaceable, before their
positions can be taken.  This happens mid point during the tribulation and
you see Satan having to relinquish his hold of the heavenlies as his is cast
onto the earth with the angels that chose him as their leader and they
continued to hold positions of varing authority under him.  You have the
Prince of Persia mentioned as a real entity holding back Gods messanger in
the Heavenlies until Michael the Ark Angel shows up and then the way is
opened up to the earth for Gods messanger to appear with his message.  These
positions must also be filled with those who have become qualified through
their faithfulness and maturity received here on this earth.  This is a
great calling- a heavenly calling.  It is varing capacities of leadership
from the heavenlies that directly corrospond with the positions of
leadership here on this earth.  These positions must be ready to be filled
prior to Christ receiving the transfer of power.  The type in the old
testament of Saul and David was left for us an example and 1 Cor. 10:11 says
that the examples endured by the Birrth of the Isrealites was to have an
impact or admonition on those who would directly effect the world (ages) to
come.  This effecting comes through having positions within the ranks of
Christ- but where?  In the Heavenlies.  Positions of power and authority
that directly effect what is happelning on this world.  On earth however,
the tribulation saints and those qualifing Jews will occupy the positions
and power necessary for Christ to set up his rulership, for Christ holds a
dual rulership over the heavens and the earth.  Maybe that is why so many
Christians during the tribulation will be martyed- proof of their loyalty
and fruit of their faith in Christ, thereby qualifing for positions upon
this earth during Christs reign.  At anyrate, this discussion brings us back
to who will return with Christ at the beginning of the 1000 years to battle
for this earth.  Not us, but the same army that took away the heavenlies
from Satan and his followers, the heavenly hosts.  Angels will be fighting
angels here on this earth.  I believe man, who was created lower than the
angels could never wipe out that group.  IT must be their kind fighting
their kind.  Man will be involved, but this involves the title deed to this
earth which is presently held by a corrupt king- Satan.  It will be taken by
force and the peace of the Garden of Eden willl be temporarily restored as
man returns to his calling issured by God to Adam and Eve.  They were to
subdue the earth and have dominion over it    (Gen 1:28).    I'm excited
about the heavenlies, and pray continually that God's work for the
heavenlies be completed so that the next adventure can begin.  God Bless
