"Re:  Michael Westphall/rapture ready"

I have a question and I’d love to hear some responses and get some feedback from other believers out there.  I’ve always believed that the overcomers will make the rapture.  There are a lot of saved people in the world, but are they rapture ready?  There are a lot of people I meet that say, “I’m a Christian.  I’ve accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.”  Now here me…… they talk the talk, but don’t necessarily walk the walk.  You HAVE to walk the walk!  You cannot serve two masters, you cannot ride the fence.  Lukewarm is not a temperature in heaven.

Now, getting back to Michael’s letter………..You said:  So, my question has always been, if you are crying out for mercy just after the rapture and God’s judgment falls via a meteor or something like that and it lands on your head, do you go to heaven?  I don’t think so.  Can I get a comment or two from someone out there?   I have always thought that if you are to be a tribulation saint that you must either die for the sake of Christ or be running for your life from those that want to kill you.

I consider my dad extremely knowledgeable about the Word of God and I asked him this question last week when he came for a visit.    “Let’s say the rapture happens tomorrow and the overcomers disappear,  and just after the rapture in all the chaos some non-overcoming Christians get killed, do they go to heaven?”  I actually think I stumped him a little bit.  He thought it was a good question.  We both agreed that if they are saved they would go to heaven.

What are some other viewpoints on this?  What makes you an overcomer?  Are the overcomer and the born again believer one in the same?  I would love to get some scripture-based feedback to share with fellow believers that I know.  Like you all, I want everyone to be rapture ready.

Thanks to Peggy for the website on rapture dreams.  J
