The religious left is at it again.  Below is an excerpt of an article from The Christian Post:

WASHINGTON – The line dividing evangelicals from progressives blurred Wednesday as members from both parties joined in a new mission to erase long-held stereotypes of one another and seek commonality on polarizing issues such as abortion, gay rights, and the role of religion in public life.
Both sides agreed the “civil war” between evangelicals and progressives needs to end and common ground pursued in order for the nation to make significant progress on divisive issues.

“I think the way we have been dealing with differences in this country simply doesn’t work,” said the Rev. Dr. Joel C. Hunter, senior pastor of the 10,000-member Northland Church in Florida.

The line did not "blur."  In fact, it became clearer, as the players are more clearly defined.
 
Joel Hunter is the left-wing pastor who I believe masquerades as an evangelical to further his political agenda.  He praises Democratic party operative "Rev." Jim Wallis, who tries to help Democrats remold their image to appear religious, and who is a kindred spirit of Hunter.  At least Wallis is open about his politics.

Hunter is the author of the book, "Right Wing, Wrong Bird," in which he is critical of those who take a courageous biblical stand on issues such as killing unborn babies and sexual perversion.  He derisively calls them "right wing" because they dare exercise their citizenship duties to vote for those who agree with them. 

How do you have common ground with someone who wants the right to murder unborn babies, even as they are being born by puncturing the back of their heads, or the right to promote homosexuality to second graders? 

Another left-ting evidence is that Hunter also actively promotes the idea of Israel giving away more of its God-given land to the terrorists and establishing a terrorist state on Israel's border.  Those people simply will not admit that every past Israeli concession, of which there have been many, results in more insane violence, and the Palestinians still officially and unofficially are committed to destroying the nation of Israel and killing every Jew.  The left's "Piece Plan" means giving away Israel piece by piece until there is none left.  It has clearly proven not to produce p-e-a-c-e.

Oh, is it a coincidence that Hunter is also an environmentalist who preaches against  man-made global warming, which is increasingly proving to be a myth?  The culprit is mostly old Mr. Sun and its cycles, and leftist politics cannot do anything about it.

Isn't it interesting that characteristics of the left typically include (1) compromise with social evils, (2)  promoting a terrorist state in the Middle East, and (3) phony environmentalism, which has become a religion to some?

Hunter and his crowd want to end the culture war.  The only way to end a war is to surrender or to win. 

Instead of surrender, I say, "Sound the trumpet!  Call out the troops!   Man the battle stations!"
