"Prayer request"

THIS IS FROM MY COUSIN

I went to UAB to watch a friend's daughter play in a college volleyball game tonight.  When I arrived home I had a message on my voicemail from a client.  He knows how close I am to the Britt family.  Their son, Wesley, played with Evan.  We shared many, many Alabama games together.  We went to Hawaii twice, and when our sons were seniors at  Alabama we went to ALL the games, home and away, together.  He let me know that he had read on a Bama site that prayers were requested for Vera, the mother of Bama players Wesley, Taylor and now senior Justin.

I made many calls before reaching Katie, Wesley's fiance.  She informed me what happened.  Then, Tommy, Vera's husband called.  This is what has happened:

Saturday night, after the game in Tuscaloosa , Vera fell off the back of a golf cart.  She is in the NICU at TRINITY Hospital here in Birmingham, after several days at DCH in Tuscaloosa .  Her skull has been fractured in five places.  She has had a stroke. She is on a respirator.  She has had surgery to remove part of the brain where much of the swelling has taken place.  The left side of her body is not responding.

Please, take a moment in prayer for her and the family.  She can recover from this, it will be a long haul.  I have offered my home to Tommy and the family since I live minutes from the hospital. They live in Cullman. But you can offer more. Prayer!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe in the power of asking God to allow us to heal.  This is a beautiful family, they have five children and grand children.

Thank you for reading my email..........more so, thank you for taking the time after reading this to pray for Vera and her family.  Pass this on to those that can send their love and light through prayer.
