Dear Doves,
Recently, I read a letter stating that the book, 'Heaven is so real' by Choo Thomas, claim that there is purgatory. This is not true. I can say that because I read the book.
The book however says that there is a valley where there are people in grey gown. They are said to be disobedient people who are not allowed in Heaven but neither in Hell. This is something I still reserve my judgment on. Although it does seem to suggest there is a place between Heaven and Hell, it is different from 'purgatory'.
Purgatory means a place where people are supposed to be purified in order to get into Heaven. This is a Satan's lie. However, the valley described in Choo Thomas' book is not purgatory, because the book says the people in the valley will stay there forever. They will not be purified to get into Heaven later. The book says they will be forever in the valley in regret and despair.
When I read the book, I thought it was different from the Bible, but I thought it was a minor problem that I will know about clearly later. The big message of the book is about repentance and the book had a big impact on my life, for I gave myself to Jesus when I read the book. Many others are turning to the Lord because of the book.
I also read the book by Mrs. Baxter and it carried the same message of repentance. The message of the 2 books is this; (borrowing the words of Jesus)
Luke 13:3
I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
Jesus is not talking about accepting him as savior, here. He is talking about repentance; turning away from sins. But, whoever believes Jesus and turn away from sins will not perish.
Mark 1:15
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" (good news = gospel)
