Shalom Peggy J. and all dear Doves,
Thanks for thinking of me and sending e-mail ...
Isn't there a danger in putting things too far off into the future ...
maybe even more so, then to see things as too close at hand? But an even MUCH greater danger is imagining that we are 'out of
Dodge' when the great troubles begin. We need to make sure that ALL
our ideas line up with Scripture. Some years ago, I saw, as a definitive text, in Revelation 20:3-6 that
the rapture wouldn't be until after all the saints who were to be
martyred for NOT taking the mark and NOT worshiping the beast ... were
actually martyred. (Please check it out.)What a twisting of the words by some in an attempt to squeeze in a
'first resurrection' before this 'first' and 'blessed' and 'holy'
resurrection that INCLUDES those who have been martyred for NOT
worshiping the beast! Don't forget that the dead in Christ rise
first. (1 Thes 4:16) so the rapture must come after the 'first'
resurrection of Revelation 20.For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and
if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not
the gospel of God? (1 Pet 4:17)To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh,
that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Cor 5:5)NOTE: Our Lord is in the Salvation Business still, for us ... no
matter what it takes, and we will so appreciate it when we see what we
have been saved from ... and for!
Shalom shalom,
David
