This is an email I received tonight from friends of ours stationed in
Virginia.  They are a very strong Christian family.  Lisa is a breast cancer
survivor.  All I know is what is in the message Burt sent us.  Please lift up
Burt and Lisa and their two children - for Lisa's healing, for strength for
them all to face what lies ahead, for peace and calm during a time of extreme
stress, and for awareness of the comforting nearness of our Lord and Savior
during this crisis, this storm in their lives.
 
  Thanks for your prayerful support.  Lisa always signs her email "In His

  Friends and Family,

  Well, this past weekend, Lisa took a turn for the worse.  She was in
so much pain she could barely stand up, was having trouble breathing, was
running a fever, and was feeling light headed.

  I ended up taking her in to her oncologist first thing Monday
morning...and they checked her into the hospital right away.  She had a
CT scan yesterday and this morning her oncologist told us that the current
regimen of Chemo was not working and that the lesions had continued to
advance in her Liver.  She also had some fluid building up around her
pancreas.  They've got her pain under control, are giving her some
antibiotics, and are working on reducing the fluid build up.  They ran
a full series of MRI scans today, we should get those results tomorrow
morning.

  Needless to say, we are a bit deflated by this temporary set back.
  Her doctor said he was going back to the office today to completely review
her entire case history and treatment from OKC on to today.  We'll be
searching for something that can knock this horrible disease into the dirt.

  Please continue to pray for her healing, her continued courage, and
her continued amazing will to fight...as well as strength and peace for the
kids and myself.  Now more than ever we need your prayers...God is good all
the time!
