This was what the Lord gave us Sunday morning:

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;

And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about. (Jeremiah 51:1,2)

And yes I did immediately think of the Southern California wildfires and the Santa Anna winds and the drought across the nation. Half the nation is a tinderbox, awaiting the strike of a match.

Do you think Tom Hanks, after making the film "The Davinci Code" and Jim Carey, both blasphemers on film, thought they would be running for their lives as the fires of hell were racing for their houses?

Whirlwinds (hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, nuclear explosions) are a judgment sign for the last days:

They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the LATTER DAYS ye shall consider it perfectly. (Jeremiah 23:17-20)
