Usually when some event doesn't happen when expected, in hindsight I can
look back and realize it couldn't have happened because I missed seeing
_______________(fill in the blank). I just can't say that about many of
the possible Rapture dates that have passed. They all have been sooooo
credible. But, here we sit.

I think I'm throwing in the towel on "dates" per se, but I still believe
Jesus is coming this Fall. One huge reason is the so-called "Peace
Summit" in Nov. There is just no possible way Iran is going to let it
happen. Everyone but them has been invited. Talk about being treated like
chopped liver! A humiliating put-down they won't accept. Pride will
compel them to show the rest of the world who's really in charge over
there. The only way to stop it in its tracks is chaos, a side benefit of
which is to set the stage for the Mahdi's return.

If a hot war is precipitated between Israel and ________ (take your
pick), it will quickly escalate. Add into that the Rapture and maybe even
throw in a couple of terrorist attacks (although they wouldn't really be
necessary), and the US economy will quickly tank, taking the rest of the
world down with us. Talk about total chaos. The only hope would be for a
real "take-charge" kind of guy who's got the juice to pull it off, to
appear. The world has been moving relentlessly down this road and I don't
see any other way it can play out.

Of course, I've been wrong before :).
