Eliminating Wickedness from the Earth

Imagine a world without immorality, abortion, fraud, lying, drunkenness, drug abuse, homosexuality, or lesbianism. The Bible is perfectly clear that this earth will soon be free of every unclean or vile person. Only one time in the past did God judge the entire earth, but he has judged nations or local areas where sin had reached the mark that our Creator could not let pass numerous times. When Sodom and Gomorrah became a cesspool of sexual perversion, fire and brimstone were rained upon that city. The Bible said, "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire" (Jude 1:7).

The Great Tribulation that Jesus Christ Himself spoke about could easily begin within weeks or months. Every national boundary is in place. Israel is hated and daily threatened with extinction, while a One World economy and government are gathering momentum. There is the technological capacity to identify and monitor the human population with very few details missing. The world is bent on saving the earth as it is in its moral filth, but God is going to save the earth by wiping the wicked off the planet and renewing it in absolute beauty.

God's prophets have spoken of this day with great statements of perfect truth. Jesus said, "...Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (Matthew 5:18).

The prophet Malachi promised, "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch" (Malachi 4:1).

Three additional quotes will serve to give witness to the impending judgment of wicked people that refuse to turn to God and repent. Isaiah said, "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it" (Isaiah 13:9).

David said, "Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD" (Psalm 104:35). Solomon wrote, "But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it" (Proverbs 2:22).

The masterpiece of all literature is the Book of Revelation and this book contains the systematic judgment that will soon begin. Here is a list of events that will occur [towards the end of the tribulation]:

The great expanse between earth and heaven will roll up and disappear.
God's throne will become visible from the earth and wicked people will try to hide from His face in mountains and rocks.
A great earthquake will shatter the earth and create pandemonium.
The sun will turn black and the moon will become as blood.
The stars in heaven will go out and fall to the earth.
Earth's atmosphere will catch on fire and melt with a fervent heat.
Islands and mountains will begin to move in what seems to be a contortion, but will actually be returning to their creative beauty that existed before the flood.
The bottomless pit in earth's core under hell will open and dark demons will flood over the earth to attack the surviving population of wicked persons with fury.
Hail and fire, mingled with blood, will fall from heaven and burn up every blade of grass.
A third part of the waters of the earth will turn to blood, etc. etc.
Within the Seven Years of the Great Tribulation every wicked, vile, and Christ-hating person will be slain. Every "work" of evil will be eliminated. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up" (II Peter 3:10).

The clear design of all these shattering events is described in thirteen chapters of the Book of Revelation. Every event will be measured and limited so that the earth will be returned to its original perfection and not destroyed. The single purpose is to break the powers of the devil and the godless crowds that rule the earth. The killing of unborn children is one of the world's final abominations. Add to that the proliferation of pornography that is presently so degrading that it reduces the portrayed acts below the conduct of demons. It is already evident that evil, including every dark deed, has become a designed lifestyle, not just careless living.

Worldwide, there is a growing tendency in every society to seek new ways to destroy others. Terrorism is no longer confined to the Middle East. It is a psychological mindset that is slowly gripping the world of disenchanted persons. The psyche of the world is becoming exactly what the Bible has declared it would become. People are already killing one another for the sheer joy of watching them become distorted in death. Right here in America - certainly one of the safest places to live - our police have had to give up dealing with petty crimes - some not so petty - and concentrate only on major disturbances.

After the Seven Years of the Great Tribulation, our world will become a joyous place. The Creator never intended on the wickedness that has corrupted our world. When it occurred, the prophets and writers of the Bible began to speak of the day when it would all return to its original beauty. The Holy Bible is a book of hope. Every living person is born with a measure of faith and a sense of the Creator Himself. Every religion that has surfaced is a picture of man's search for God.

No one is left without the opportunity of escaping these coming years of catastrophe. The Holy Bible is the world's single book of hope. We are told what is going to happen to warn us to turn from wicked living. The God of the Bible will reveal Himself to every soul that desires to turn from sin to righteousness. The "save the earth" crowd actually sees what is coming; they simply have the wrong solution. The Creator will save His own earth and you can escape if you turn to Him.
