Thought I'd pose some hopefully "thought" provoking questions.
Can numbers represent evil? Of course if one doesn't believe there is such a thing as evil and only good in the world, then of course not. But then, to be a Christian one has to repent of one's sin and by definition, sin is evil. So one cannot be a Christian without acknowledging that there is evil, not only in the world but in our own heart.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: Matthew 15:19
Let's look at "The Arithmetic of God" penned by Don Kistler. He states that the number 6 represents satan and his influence, 13 represents sin, rebellion, or depravity, 18 represents bondage or binding, 21 represents exceeding sinfulness of sin, 23 represents death, 36 represents enemy, 41 represents deception, 46 represents second death, 66 represents image or idol worship, and 666 represents the number of the beast.

And 6, 36, 66, and 666 are all triangle numbers.
But let's apply this to English Gematria. The word evil is number 444. And 4 represents the flesh and 44 represents perdition according to "The Arithmetic of God". And the number 364 turns out to be a "satanic" number while the number 352 turns out to be "satan", missing 351 by one number. But then "lucifer" misses 444 by one number too, coming in at 443. And finally, "devil" is 4 more than "evil" at 448.
Oh, I started this post by saying that sin is by definition is evil. Sin come in at 159 so maybe it isn't "evil" but it does sum up to the same thing as "demon", (also at 159).

Thanks, Ted. I grappled with the issue once. I came to the conclusion that all numbers were created good just as everything God created was good. God did not create evil. Yet evil came into this world.John
