ONE DAY WITH THE KING

I have never spoken about this to any one and only my wife and children know this story, but somehow I feel lead to now.

It was 30 or so years ago, a Sunday during summer, we had gotten back from church and had had our dinner when there was a knock at the door; there stood an elderly man of color, grizzled and weather worn face with eyes that I will never forget.  He said that he was on a long journey and asked if we could spare him something to eat.
We asked him in but he said he would stay there at the door; our children were very young then and I believe he didn’t want to frighten them.  My wife took all the chicken and rice we had left, put together utensils to eat with, napkins and milk into a box, a sort of picnic lunch, for him.
We asked him if he would like to come in and eat, but he said he would go over by the lake and eat it there; after we had closed the door we looked to see where he had gone but he was nowhere to be seen.

We lived in a very rural area and never saw any one walking the road and never had a man of color stop and ask for food. The road we lived on didn’t lead to any cities just to more rural area. I truly believe it Yeshua who stopped in at our house on that summer Sunday; I’ll never forget HIS eyes and His words of being on a long journey.

I’ve seen Him many more times since, in dreams and the like, always looking different, but without fail leading me to the revelation of who He really IS.
