Hello Ellen,When I first heard about the 1:11 and 11:11 phenomena (2 years or so ago), I decided to pray about it to see if it was just everyone's over active imagination or if it was from the Lord. The first night I prayed nothing moved in my spirit so I assumed it was just everyone's over active imagination. However, I was awoken that night by a loud voice calling my name quickly. My eyes snapped open directly at my clock on the dresser. It said 1:11 and I knew it was from God. As for a significance, I have recently have been searching for a reason that 1:11 or 11:11. I know God doesn't do anything for NO reason. Perhaps it is as some people speculate - a 7 Day warning. Other warnings are Lot being dragged out of Sodom in the morning and the angels waited until he was safe in Zoar before they destroyed the city. Not 7 days but it could have been 7 hours (5 am to 12pm????). He either was asleep or just sitting around waiting when he was dragged out in the morning.
That story is very encouraging for those believers who were left behind. Lot's wife turns into a Pillar of Salt. So will it be the those that were to consumed with the world and not with God (i.e. the Laodecian Church). Also combine that with Elisha who witnessed the Rapture of Elijah, he got a Double Blessing when he remained behind. The Holy Spirit won't be an influence in the world during the 7 year tribulation, but the believers who were left behind will have access to even greater power then the Apostles did when setting up the Church.
