"behavior in the image of
the Messiah..."
Amish
attend funeral of gunman who killed 5 girls
I'm not familiar with Amish beliefs, but it sure seems
to me that these humble people gave Christianity a good name since this
disaster in their community. It seems the norm these days for "normal"
Christians to sue whomever had a part in any offense to them, but these
people showed the world what Jesus is all about! Here was a man who
terrorized 10 little girls, planned to violate them in unspeakable ways,
then slaughtered them in a bloody massacre because the demons in his messed
up world haunted him. I think demons are coming out of the woodwork
in these last days, and these people to me, are tried and true overcomers
and show the world about forgiveness in the midst of their grief, as well
as compassion on the killer's family is all about. Faith, is after
all, an action word, and with their show of faith and the Lord's forgiveness
defeated evil. Out of great darkness comes the bright light of God's truth
in practice! Oh, that we all could stand with such faith, living
the Word of God's redemption and forgiveness to this lost and hurting world.
They resisted the devil and now he must flee from them! Praise God!
I hope many terrorist who have been indoctrinated in nothing but hate all
their lives, hear of this story, and learn what Christianity is all about;
and that we are NOT the Crusaders from olden times. I pray many do,
and receive the light for themselves. I also pray all unsaved Jews
also sees our Jesus in these people's faithfulness to His Word, and begin
to read their Old Testament in a whole new light, especially Isaiah 53!
Yeah baby, that's MY Jesus!!! Hallelujah!

I guess I relate more to these people, the more time
goes on, as each day I feel more and more like a stranger in a strange
land, and FAR removed from the hustle and bustle of this materialistic,
hedonistic society.
