Dear Ellen,
shalom and greetings from germany
RE your letter at fivedoves
today http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2006/elleng1027-1.htm thank you so much!
I like to say that of course I never “discussed with Bjorn beforehand”, I do not know this brother...
Again I like to say that I found the word of Psalm 118:26 at the Watchwords (Daily Texts) given for yesterday (Oct. 26).
The Daily texts have a long tradition. My grandparents, my mother, and many of our community read them daily and of surely many all over the world.
To learn more about them you may go to http://www.dailytext.com/dailytexts/Heritage.php .
But one thing I like to emphasize: “....that all watchwords would be drawn by lot from a selection of around 2000 suitable Old Testament texts. The watchword represents either a promise, and encouragement, sometimes and admonition or a word of comfort. The selection process is a devout one; for each watchword is prayed over before being chosen from the collection of verses....”
and this fact I know from our German Daily Texts edition: the watchwords ( the first verse which is from Old Testament) are drawn by lot each with three years ago (!) and the drawn word will not be “used” for the next three years. ...in other words for example the verse Psalm 118:26 was selected in May 2003 by lot and will not be found again in a Daily Text book not before 2009 ...
By the way... the “selection process” and the “homeland” of the Daily Texts is at “Herrnhut” in Saxony / East Germany ... The Herrnhut ministry has “survived” world wars and more than forty years East Germany communist regime era... Praise the Lord.
well, when I read Psalm 118:26 yesterday I had to think: really: “...the Spirit and the bride say, Come...”

We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Psalm 124:7
again : isn’t this amazing...!
...it is good to read the contexts ... “....waters had overwhelmed us...” (...flood ...Noah times!!!)
Thank God, Praise the Lord :
“Our help is in the name of the LORD” and we may escape ....like a bird.......
Let’s hope and pray that it may be soon and very soon....
by His Grace
Amen. Maranatha.
Come Lord Jesus
