Hi John, and Doves.
Hi Daniel Matson, (Re your post of 2nd October – Chapter 12 “Come into the Ark”)
TWO ARKS –
I’m having a problem understanding how the mathematics of the “same ratio” applies to Noah’s Ark as well as the Ark of the Covenant. Perhaps you could explain your rationale for this. I quote from your 5 doves post of 2nd October -
“It is also fitting because the Ark is a vessel with the same ratio as the
dimensions as the Ark of the Covenant.”
According to Genesis 6:14-15 Noah’s Ark measured –
300 cubits long
50 cubits wide
30 cubits high, and it was made of Gopher wood.
According to Exodus 25:10, the Ark of the Covenant measured –
2.5 cubits long
1.5 cubits wide
1.5 cubits high, and was made of Shittim wood.
Can you please explain what you mean by this?
SEALING THE ARK
Re your statement about the date of the “sealing of the Ark”. I quote from your diagram in your 5 Doves post –
“Heshvan 10 (2/10) Sealed in the Ark on day 40 of the New Year”
According to Genesis 7:4 – God gave Noah a seven day warning of what was about to happen –
“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”
I have no doubt at all that this was the period of time in which the last of the animals and Noah’s family were loaded onboard the Ark, but it was not the date that they were sealed in, nor was it the day the flood began. As far as I can see this “warning” date is only derived from the date that comes after the seven day period, which is the important date - i.e, the seventeenth day.
Genesis 7:11-13, 16 “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.....v. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.”
It is pretty plain that Noah could not be shut in by God i.e. “sealed in the Ark” on the 10th of the second month, seven days before he actually “entered” into it for the last time on the 17th of the second month.
MAKING THE DATES FIT –
Perhaps one of the reasons that you are having difficulty in making your dates fit your scenario, is that you are still looking at a seven year tribulation, and still looking for the “Roman” prince who is supposedly coming to desolate a future rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem! I’m afraid he’s long gone and dead – his name was Titus, and he destroyed the Temple in 70 A.D.
The “last manifestation” or “end-descendent” of the “dreadful and terrible” Roman Beast of (Daniel 7:7) was finally destroyed at a later date according to Daniel 7:11 “I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake; I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.”

Perhaps if you reconfigured your dating with a 42 month tribulation, (Rev. 13:5) caused by the two Beasts of Rev. 13 you might find some interesting correlations.
In Christ, EAR.
