Readers of Five Doves,
I have been pondering the significance of the attack on the Amish children, a devoutly religious people who don't even believe in owning guns, and the attack date: the Day of Atonement.
God told me once there are no "accidents" in His children's lives. Consequently, I've been pondering the significance. Why the Amish? Why did God allow the attack to them? Why did it happen on the Day of Atonement, one of the fall feasts? Is there a message here?
Its clear to me that their response of love rather than of hatred and revenge, is no doubt an eye-opener to the world. In this respect they are true "witnesses" of the love of Christ.
But I can't help but wonder if there is more to this.......but I just can't put my finger on it.
Any thoughts or insight? Anyone receive a word from the Lord about this tragedy?
