John,
I'd just like to add my two-cents-worth to Ian Mallett's suggestions
about the number 37. It is probably the most fantastic number in the entire
number code of the Bible. Anything I say here is like a small drop in the
bucket in comparison to the magnificence of this number. I've been working
with the Gematria of the Bible for nearly 50 years, and no number even
begins to compare with the beauty of 37.
37 is the 12th prime. The number 12 is the number of Divine Order. It is
the foundation of all things, and the ultimate future of all things. Divine
Government, which will be established in the earth by Christ's Kingdom, is
represented by the number 12. So 37 is the 12th prime -- but let's flip it
over and see its mirror opposite -- 73. Would you believe, we can also flip
the prime position over and find that the number 73 is the 21st prime.
I'm sure you have all seen the beauty of Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning
God created the heaven and the earth." Add the Gematria values for each
Hebrew letter and the total will be 2701, which is 37 x 73. But if we add
all the numbers beginning with 1, up to 73, the total will be 2701.
And, speaking of creation, the scriptures tell us that "By Wisdom" were
the worlds made. Amazing!! The Hebrew word for Wisdom has a Gematria value
of 73 and a place value of 37.
Do I hear someone saying "Well, you can fiddle around with numbers and
get most anything." Frankly, I doubt the truth of that assumption. However,
when God "fiddled around" with numbers they become fantastically beautiful.
And the number 37 is His masterpiece.
And while we are "fiddling around" with numbers, let's look at something
else fantastic. In Psalms 105:15 God calls His beloved Son "My Messiah." It
has a Gematria value of 370. If we consider 370 the long side of a Golden
Rectangle, the Golden Spiral that can be traced within it will have a length
of 888. Of course it is well-known that 888 is the Gematria for the name
Jesus. And if we draw a square on that long side of the Golden Rectangle, it
will have a perimeter of 1480, which is the Gematria value for Christ.
Ian Mallett pointed out that 148 is the Gematria value for Passover, in
Hebrew. The Apostle Paul said "Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us."
So the number 148 is Passover, and the number 1480 is Christ. Yes, when God
fiddled around with numbers they became fantastically beautiful.
I wrote a book entitled "The Bible's Awesome Number Code." It will
absolutely amaze you with the beauty of the numbers that God "fiddled
around" with. If you want a copy, contact me at bgaunt@centurytel.netBonnie Gaunt
