Should someone get the notion that I am a prune-faced legalistic who never wants to do anything enjoyable ~ BUZZER SOUNDS ~ wrong!   BUT I believe our "fun" should be within the boundaries set by our Creator, and that we should have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with fall harvest festivals & parties.  And some Christian parents even allow their kids to trick-or-treat.  I suppose that's entirely up to individual parents.  But I do cringe though when I see the kids dressed up in the "scary & evil" costumes -- it's as though they are CELEBRATING evil & it grieves me that the parents don't know any better.  {not only that, but they could be opening themselves & their kids up to demon manifestations, IMO}

At any rate, Susan Fulton (of Doves) wrote this article; I didn't.   And yet, I agree with it.  I believe we should definitely pray for protection for ourselves & our families as we come into the season greatly celebrated by wiccans.

I don't watch too much television anymore, because of the violence and sexual over tones.
The sitcoms are not funny, they are just plain raunchy. I was channel surfing last Thurs. and I noticed, as the T.V. flipped from station to station, that almost every channel was carrying some kind of horror show. I know that Halloween is near, so that is why they are doing that.
The thing that bothers me about this, is that those shows are demonic. The people who are
not Christians, do not see anything wrong with these shows, but they are exposing themselves
to demons. The Bible says to not even look upon the appearance of evil.
 
The people of today, are ignorant about the things of Satan, and the forces of darkness.
Like the Harry Potter movies. I have heard Christians condone these pictures. They say that
they are harmless, and even encourage the children to go to these movies. What is the matter with them? I don't think that I would ever hear Jesus say, that going to movies that glorify Satan, is O.K.!!!
 
Look for a rapid rise in violent crimes in the next few days, as the "bewitching hour" of Halloween draws near. With all of these horror movies playing constantly on all the channels, the effect will be felt. So, the Christians had better be in constant prayer, asking for God's divine protection from the forces of Darkness. Anoint you and your family with oil, and plead the blood of Jesus over you and your house. Toying with the things of Satan, is no laughing matter, It is very serious. The Bible says that we reap what we sow.
