"THE GREATNESS OF ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM"

 
2nd Chronicles 6:6; 7:16; 33:7 But I (GOD) have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; For now I have chosen and consecrated this house ( temple) that my name may be there for ever; my eyes and my heart will be there for all time.  In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever
 
 
Isaiah 62: 6, 7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,  And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
 
Ezekiel 48:35 "The distance around the entire city will be six miles. And from that day the name of the city will be `The LORD Is There.' "
 
 
Jeremiah 33:16 In that day Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And their motto will be `The LORD is our righteousness!'
 
 
Psalms 125 :1,2 Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.

Zechariah 12:2-4, 9 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem.  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.  In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
 
 
Zechariah 8:22 People from many nations, even powerful nations, will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD Almighty and to ask the LORD to bless them.
 
 
Jeremiah 31:10 "Listen to this message from the LORD, you nations of the world; proclaim it in distant coastlands: The LORD, who scattered his people, will gather them together and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock.
 
 
Micah 4:1 In the last days, the Temple of the LORD in Jerusalem will become the most important place on earth. People from all over the world will go there to worship.
 
 
Matthew 5:34, 35 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:  Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
 
 
Psalm 122:6,7 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper. O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.
