I think that Daniel 11:40 is alittle too late for end of days prophecy to start. It must come sooner. At least I think so.
 
Daniel 11:31 speaks about the abomination of desolation which is done by the antichrist
 
Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
 
This verse cant be in reference to Antichous Epiphanes because Jesus stated that the Abomination that causes desolation was future from his time 30 - 34 A.D..  So since this act is done by the AC then probably Daniel 11:31 - 45 is speaking about the AC which is still yet future from our time right now. My NIV Bible says Daniel 11:36 through 11:40 is about the AC. Plus Daniel 11:39 goes more with Joel 3:2, And Zechariah 14:1, 2. My great pastor John Hagee says that probably the AC will solve the arab Israeli conflict by giving Judea Samaria to the Palestinians and thus create a Palestinian state. But when you think about it then this means the AC will divide the land during the 7 years.   GOD BLESS YOU!! From T.J.
