"Nebuchadnezzar Himself as Babylon the Great"

Nebuchadnezzar Himself as Babylon the Great

Look how Revelation 17 relates to Nebachudenezzar and his vision of the tree and experience in Chapter 4

Daniel 4:16 Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.

Daniel 4:23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and [let] his portion [be] with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

Daniel 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Daniel 4:30 The king spake, and said, Is not this Great Babylon (Babylon the Great), that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Daniel 4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' [feathers], and his nails like birds' [claws].

Daniel 4:34 And at the end of the days (seven times) I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever,

Daniel 4:36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me (Became even greater).  Babylon the Great

BABYLON THE GREAT

Revelation 17:9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.   Seven times pass by for Nebuchadnezzar Daniel chapter 4

Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was (Nebuchadnezzar), and is not (after 7 times pass by for him he is not a beast anylonger), even he is the eighth (Nebuchadnezar restored to kingdom and becomes even greater than before), and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Nebuchadnezzar himself is symbolic of the kingdom of Babylon

Daniel 2:38 and wherever the sons of men dwell, {or} the beasts of the field, or the birds of the sky, He has given {them} into your hand and has caused you to rule over them all. You are the head of gold.
Daniel 2:39 "After you there will arise another kingdom inferior to you, then another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth.

Nebuchadnezzar is told he himself is the Head of Gold which is represented as the kingdom of Babylon.

Daniel 7:4 The first (beast) [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

The first beast (Kingdom) of Daniel 7 is symbolic of Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel 7: 17 These great beasts, which are four, [are] four kings, [which] shall arise out of the earth.

Daniel 7:23 The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms

Likewise the Tree of Daniel 4 can be symbolic of the kingdom of Babylon as it also is Nebuchadnezzar. NIV notes Daniel 4:11 Grew large and strong. In one of Nebuchadnezzar's building inscriptions, Babylon is compared to a spreading tree.
