"Re: Mark of the Beast: OK,
Everybody, I Repent"
Continuing on in the saga of how my latest article
here was received:
http://www.escapeallthesethings.com/mark-beast-unpardonable-sin-rapture.htm
Thank you for all your responses, even the nasty ones
(I learn from them all). Thanks to my plea yesterday, I received some nice
emails confirming that others saw this view as correct also, so it's not
all one-sided against as it first appeared. Just obviously the more emotional
reactions people have the more likely they are to write.
The thing that surprised me about the reactions was not
how so many disagreed. I expected that. I know my views are
unconventional since I am non-denonminational.
No, the thing that surprised me was how people got the
impression I was saying, "It's ok, come on, take the mark, it won't kill
you!" when I really was not saying that all. Then it snowballed and
apparently the people who had not even read my article starting jumping
in and reacting to this misconception and of course getting up in arms
to vigourously state how wrong it is to take the mark, etc, such as this
one entitled: "FOOLISH TO WORSHIP THE BEAST & HOPE TO BE REDEEMED DURING
MILLENIUM". Yes of course it's foolish and even directly forbidden
and as my article states, you probably won't survive the 10 days of bowls
of wrath to be redeemed during the millennium. Not a good plan.
And not a plan I suggested.
By the way, my title "OK, Everybody. I Repent" was just
to get your attention. Nobody presented any evidence yet to make
me change my mind on the real scriptural cost of taking the mark of the
beast, but I do promise to continue to reconsider my beliefs and my actions
every day in my habit of "daily repentance." Yes, another one of
my strange beliefs: That you do not repent just once to be saved, but you
must constantly be turning from each new sin or wrong belief system you
discover as you endure until the end to be saved.
Love and Kind Regards,
