"I respectfully disagree. Your position is perilously close to being 'politically correct'. The debate is not whether BCE and CE is technically accurate but whether or not this usage further obscures the underpinnings of our western civilization. I believe that it does. Another cultural reference to Jesus 'Our Lord' is being erased to honor secularism and diversity. Christianity is not about going out of our way to avoid offending non-believers. To think otherwise is to reject the directive to carry out the 'Great Commission' and negate the purpose of the Age of Grace."

Well, since Christians are the minority today, it would really be politically correct only if I promoting continuing to use this erroneous BC/AD nomenclature!

Assuming the "Great Commission" and the "Age of Grace" as you understand them are really Biblicall sound, do you really think God wants you to knowingly promote error about what year Jesus was born in how you carry them out?  Does promoting a falsehood about Jesus being born in 1 AD really help your credibility and therefore mission?  Convincing people of the gospel should not rely on traditions that have been shown to be in error, in my opinion, but the best and latest information available.
