Someone asked if this means the "Antichrist" will divide Israel:

 

Daniel 11:39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge [and] increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

This verse may not be talking aboutthe "antichrist" because notice that it's not until verse 40 that "the time of the end" is introduced and that was fulfiled possibly by Mussolini's attack on Ethiopia .  This verse may be about the Roman emperors who the "acknowledged the supremacy of religion, increased it with material glory and caused it to rule over many" according to one source.  I'm not sure yet how the Antichrist having trouble with a King of the South attacking him first works...when we have in verse 44 that tidings out of the east and north trouble him, which matches the 200M man army of China mentioned at the 6th trumpet after he takes over at the 5th trumpet.

So there may not be a prophecy saying directly (or at least clearly) that the Beast will divide the land of Israel (or do a peace treaty about it for that matter).  It could be done before the beast rises by the UN or US at this rate and the unilateral steps Sharon is taking
