"Pat Robertson and the True Signs of the End, what are they?"

I saw a few were upset that Pat Robertson on CNN did not talk about the rapture and other "fanatical" things, but I think he handled himself well.  I especially appreciated how he said these disasters "maybe" the signs of the end times.  Glad he was not so dogmatic since the Bible does not say an earthquake or a tsunami or city flooding happening months apart like have happened all through history would be the signs of the end. What Jesus was referring to in the Olivet Discourse were these things happening everywhere in "diverse places" at once as Planet Wormwood will cause starting at the 6th seal (see my book Planet X in Bible Prophecy for more details).

But the Bible gives three things in Daniel 12:4 to know we are in the end and near the time when these disasters will come:
1. "Many people: population explosion
2. would run to and fro: normal people commonly traveling far from home is a recent characteristic of only the 20th century with the invention of the automobile, train, and airplane
3. and knowledge shal be increased": The 20th century technological inventions that have allowed the transmission and sharing of knowldge, such as recording devices, telephone, TV, computer and internet have caused an explosion in knowledge

Until we see the Abomination of Desolation signalling the start of the very last 3½ years, that's really the only place in the Bible that I know of stating clearly how to tell if you are in the end times.  Many other prophecies are assumed to take place in the end times, but their meaning is not so clear (such as the Gog Magog War of Eze 38 in the "latter years" which looks to best fit post-millenial as Rev 20 places it).

Kind Regards,

Tim McHyde
