     In my post of 10/25/05 Re: The saros, I just wanted to restress the point that the present HILLEL II Jewish calendar, The calendar does create and force contrivances regarding Tishri !, Yom Kippur (Tishri 10) and The seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles. As I had posted, Tishri 1 is FORCIBALLY maneuvered, by one to two days to MAKE SURE THAT YOM KIPPUR DOES NOT FALL ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY (SHABBAT) and that The Seventh Day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 21) DOES NOT FALL ON SATURDAY SHABBAT. Hence the "regular" months of 'Cheshvan' and 'Kislev" are sometimes mutilated (truncated). These contrived displacements will actually, from time to time violate the vernal and Autumnal equinoxes.
     If the lunar calendar was intercalated properly (at the fibonacci years), The first renewed moon of Abib WOULD ALWAYS OCCUR AFTER THE VERNAL EQUINOX, AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. Likewise, Tishri would (must) occur the first renewed moon AFTER the Autumnal equinox. 'Shanah" from which we obtain Rosh HaShanah, DOES NOT TRULY MEAN 'HEAD of the YEAR'. "Shanah" means 'season' and here, intuitively the seventh month (Fall season).
     Once the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD, the rabbi's & SanHedrin convened at Yavneh (Jamnia) and there put full emphasuis on Yom Kippur as a day of PERSONAL ATONEMENT (as the sacrifices for PERSONAL atonement also passed with the Temple's destruction.
     Shifting the attentional from NATIONAL ATONEMENT VIA THE SCAPEGOAT, to personal atonement (kol nidre et al.) was a COMPLETE CONTRIVANCE as was the shifting of the days.
     In the Torah, there were two goats, one for the LOrd, one for Azazzel. The High Priest, invoking the full 72 lettered name of God, placed his hands upon the scapegoat and CONFESSED THE NATIONAL SINS OF ISRAEL, not personal. Personal sins were expiated by the Lamb of God. (Seh Elohim). To draw a parallel nation sins of say America, would include abortion, gambling, drug and crime syndicates etc. An individual citizen hopefully does not participate in these activities, but nonetheless they are sins and must be confessed and hopefully forgiven. A crimson cloth was tied to the horns of the goat which was released into the wilderness. If a person came upon him, that person would see the crimson cloth and avoid the goat. A crimson was also tied to the huge doors of the Temple and if the NATION'S SINS WERE FORGIVEN IT WOULD TURN WHITE.
     On at least one occasion the scapegoat returned with its crimson cloth (signifying the NATIONAL SIN OF ISRAEL had NOT been forgiven!); the rabbi's immediately initiated a "new" practice. A designated man would lead the goat into the wilderness, break its legs and push it over a cliff -- an early case of "shooting the messenger". Yom Kippur comes in for NATIONAL ATONEMENT as seen in the book of Daniel when it took 21 day for Gabriel to reach Daniel 'BECAUSE THE PRINCE OF PERSIA OPPOSED ME'. That prince of Persia was not a man but a satanic principality over all of Persia. Yom Kippur was designed to cast out (away) these very powerful demons. That these "city/nationwide" powers operate today is seen over the cities/areas like Las Vegas (gambling), New York (Mammon, Materialism, Lust), San Francisco (Homosexuality, pederasty). Believers of today barely recognize personal sin, preferring to justify it rather than confess it. To get people to war against these huge, powerful unholy principalities is needed, but are enough people aware?
