Greetings Doves,The commandment from the Lord was to construct a booth (Sukkah) during the Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 15-21) and dwell therein. The interior (inside) was "special" as seen: Lev 23:
39 "On the fifteenth day, then, of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall celebrate a pilgrim feast of the LORD for a whole week. The first and the eighth day shall be days of complete rest. 40 5 On the first day you shall gather foliage from majestic trees, branches of palms and boughs of myrtles and of valley poplars, and then for a week you shall make merry before the LORD, your God. 41 By perpetual statute for you and your descendants you shall keep this pilgrim feast of the LORD for one whole week in the seventh month of the year.
The Hebrew word rendered "foliage" above is Hebrew "urim" literally meaning "FRUITS". Indeed The fruits: orange, lemon, pomegranets etc were turned inward and the people were satisfied and filled with fruit from their Sukkah! The cutting of the branches from the fruit trees actually served to prune the trees and thus increase the yield of the tree later on. We know that "Fruit" is figurative for the Holy Spirit. Thus the Feast of Tabernacles is highly suggestive of being surrounded by and filled with the Holy Spirit. These passages add to the preponderance of scripture for an out pouring of the Holy Spirit during this Feast, especially on Simchat Torah, the eighth and last day. I sincerely hope that this is the case I have always believed that the rapture would be preceeded by just such an outpouring, as it is my belief that God will made Himself so manifest, that anyone who rejects this outpouring and its attendant wonders and healings, that they self assign themselves to go through the tribulation period under God's wrath. BaShem Yeshua Sarenu Shalom TEFE
P.S. thank you for the thank you posts; you are very generous in your to say such nice words Todah rabbah (Thanks much).
