 The Inscription on the cross would literally read Yeshua The Nazarene and king of the Jews.

In Hebrew Ha = "the",

Ve = "and"; both words are connected or spelled along with their associated nouns.

  Thus: r Yeshua Hanazaret Vemelek Hayehudim >> YHVH.

The "Ve" & "Ha ate the "and and "the" . I hope this helps
