TEFE, you are so right in pointing out how the wicked one counterfeits Truth. On the morning of October 19th, I had this “dream sequence” with a person in it who is not redeemed, and the message “Rapture 2008” was written on the back of a chair in a house.
John warned about testing the spirits to see if they are from Jesus or not. This is crucial, for the last seven years, I have had visions and dreams from both Truth and the father of all lies.
For Truth, at least the following must be satisfied, it must be consistent with the Word of God. In addition, my opinion is that it must also glorify Jesus and produce an emotional response consistent with The Fruit of The Holy Spirit, as well as not being confusing, since Messiah is not the author of confusion.
“Rapture 2008” fails all of these to me, and I discount this event I had as a counterfeit. “Rapture” is not a specific word per se, although it must be correct that there is a removal of all those with the indwelling Holy Spirit prior to the time of Jacob’s trouble, since The Holy Spirit reveals only Truth and God can not lie. The intent of “Rapture” is clearly in 1Thess 4:13-18, even though it is not used there as a word. A subtle variation is used in 1Corinthians 15:52, which addresses those who die physically (hence the word dead) who are redeemed, being resurrected. In my opinion, “Rapture” is applicable to all redeemed people, but the wicked one is playing counterfeit imitations of this Truth in the form of subtle differences in what it implies. I think satan would use the word “Rapture” and twist it, The Holy Spirit would point to 1Thessalonians 4:13-18. An encounter I had with the True Living God quoted 1Kings 3:5 to me on December 4th of 1999 (Kislev Hannukah), which I have mentioned on this forum a few times.
Despite all of this, I am encouraged by the message of “Rapture 2008”, because it tells me that satan is going to stage a false one somehow in 2008, just as a false armageddon is about to be staged in conjunction with a false messiah appearing with a false peace. Redeemed people are not going to have to wait anywhere near this long, since in order for this deception to work, those with the indwelling Holy Spirit will have to be out of the way so to speak.
I agree completely with Pastor John Hagee, Jesus could take His redeemed from the earth in the next few seconds. I strongly doubt we will be here in 2008 to see if what I am writing here is correct.
