All the prophetic dreams I've ever had (about a half dozen or so) took place in the 80's, for some strange reason!  Here is one of my dreams, below.  I've posted this before, but you may not have seen it.  Notice that like with your dream, total blackness occurred!

I dreamed I was walking along the beach in the middle of the day.  I could tell it was that time, because the sun was bright and it was extremely hot!  Others were milling about, too.  All of a sudden, everything turned pitch black (like when you’re in a cave and they turn the lights out)… so black, you couldn’t see a single, solitary thing!!!  In the dream, I somehow KNEW that Yeshua was getting ready to return, so I wasn’t afraid, just excited!  Suddenly, gold fireworks began exploding everywhere in the sky!  It’s hard to explain them… they were like iridescent and “other worldly” in consistency, and just the most beautiful thing you’d ever want to see against that pitch black sky!  Unfortunately, I awoke before He actually descended!
 
The next morning, my ex-husband was taking me to meet my vanpool for work.  I told him, “I had the weirdest dream last night!”  He said, “Me, too… you tell me yours, and I’ll tell you mine.”  I began relating my dream, and he suddenly pulled the car off the road and stopped it.  He was visibly shaken.  He actually finished my dream for me, because he’d had the exact same dream!!!
