I believe that we can know when Jesus is returning to the earth. The Bible says that God does nothing without first revealing it to His servants the prophets. There were many prophecies regarding Jesus first coming; even the time of His coming was announced hundreds of years before it took place. But unfortunately the vast majority of people in His day, even those who were looking for Him and studying the prophecies, completely missed Him when He came. It did not happen in the way they thought it was going to happen. It was their preconceived ideas of how the Scriptures would be fulfilled that kept them blind to what was happening and they simply could not see that Jesus was fulfilling every prophecy because it wasn't in the way that they were expecting the prophecies to be fulfilled.
