What We Leave Behind

My dearest friends,

We are nearing a propitious moment in history. A
series of unlikely events are coming together in a
rare confluence to create an event of epic
possibilities.

I don't know about you, but I'm very excited at the
prospect!

I have been writing here now for some time to
encourage you to accept Christ into your life as your
personal saviour and I will not stop now.

Eternity is a long time to be wrong.
 

I would encourage you also to understand the "signs of
the times" and to read your Bible with diligence and
an open heart to God's ministrations through the Holy
Spirit.

As Rosh Hashannah approaches, I have had several
things happen within my own personal life.

I have been presented with situation after situation
at work, at church and in my home of distraction after
distratction of setbacks and obstacles to overcome.

There is a reason that we are called "overcomers".
Never before have I seen this more evident in my own
life and in those whom Christ has called His Own.

BE OF GOOD CHEER.

    Matthew 5:11-12

    "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute
you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for
My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is
your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the
prophets who were before you. "

I would also encourage you to begin reading my own
series Ramadan, the Battle of Badr, and the
Destruction of the United States.

I do believe that something is "about to happen". I
see the rising tide of unrest in the Middle East as
Israel insists that we must do something about the
build up of nuclear capability in Iran OR THEY WILL.

I see the fragile Egyptian/Israeli peace compact
falling apart as Egypt allows untold numbers of
missilies and munitions to flow openly over their
border into the newly handed over Gaza strip.

I saw the division of God's land and the "coincidence"
of Katrina's destruction on the nation which led the
world in accomplishing this travesty.

I saw God reveal the vulnerable underbelly of the
United States to a world rabid for our destruction by
allowing not one but two major hurricanes to sweep
through the gulf, destroying refineries there and
demonstrating the fragile underpinnings of our oil
dependent economy.

Make no mistake. Our enemies have seen our weak spot
and they WILL exploit it.

TIME GROWS SHORT.
 

Have you asked Jesus into your heart yet? What are you
waiting for?
 

    Matthew 24:45-51

    "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his
master made ruler over his household, to give them
food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his
master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly,
I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his
goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My
master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat his
fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the
drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a
day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that
he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and
appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
 
 

Time grows very short, indeed.

I was blessed this week when one of my Jewish students
and her mother came into my classroom and served us
apples dipped in honey and taught us about Rosh
Hashannah and all it means. I was draped in the
ceremonial prayer cloth and my head was covered and a
prayer was said over me. The shofar was blown! It was
incredible!

I was overcome with emotion at this beautiful
demonstration of God's abiding love. The timeliness of
this event still amazes me and brings tears to my
eyes. Truly, I have been blessed to serve Him at this
time.

Rosh Hashannah begins on October 3rd at sundown (6:20
pm, Jerusalem time/ 11:20 am Eastern) and lasts until
sundown on October 5th.

Ramadan too begins on October 3rd this year.

There will be a solar eclipse over Israel. In the
Bible, angels are often referred to as "stars". That's
what our sun is...a star. It was a star that heralded
Christ's arrival more than two thousand years ago.
Could it happen again?

It is the conclusion of 14,000 days (a generation?)
since the Jews had control of Jerusalem.

All of these events and so much more are coming
together at this time. What does it mean? I don't
pretend to know. But it does seem auspicious.

Is your lamp filled with oil? Is your light shining
brightly? Are you ready to meet God face to face?

We should be ready at all times for this event. For it
is written that Christ is coming at a time when we
least expect Him.

I don't know when Christ will return. I also do not
know the hour of my death. I could be hit by a bus
tomorrow!

I want to be ready.

ARE YOU READY?
 

You can be. All you need to do is to reach out to
Jesus. He is standing at the door even now, waiting
for your choice.

Won't you make the wisest choice of your life? Don't
delay. You are so close to holding eternity in your
hands and knowing a peace beyond understanding.

Christ wants to give all of that to you and SO MUCH
MORE. Reach out to Him. He has met you more than
halfway.

He has paid the price. All you have to do is to pick
up His cross and follow Him.

Choose Christ! Choose life!
