Most of us believe the rapture is both an
instantaneous "changing" and leaving. But could it be
that only the "changing" is instantaneous, but not
necessarily the flight up to heaven?"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Cor
15:51-52Could it be that once we hear the trumpet and the
shout, while we standby, first we see the dead in
Christ raised, then we watch the clouds of "witnesses"
form above us, and meanwhile we are instantly changed
to our new bodies, and after all that, a little while
later, we rise up at a moderate pace, like Jesus did
in Acts 1, or how Elija did while they were watching
him?Perhaps it is during this interum period that the 5
foolish virgins realize they are not ready and panic?Isaiah 52:12 "For ye shall not go out with haste, nor
go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the
God of Israel will be your rereward."And I also wonder if it could be that those of us in
the USA and elsewhere on the opposite side of the
world from Jerusalem might not go staight up, but
might actually take a trip vertically to Jerusalem/Mt
of Olives, and then from there go straight up to
heaven? After all, that is where Jacob saw the angels
ascending and descending, and where Jesus and Elija
were caught up? Also it says, "The LORD also shall
roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem"
