"The Devil's War Room...."
Dear John & Doves...
I have been considering what sort of personalized tactics
and strategies the Devil might apply against God's children, considering
the late date in the prophetic scheme of things...
Not knowing the exact moment that Christ will come to
Rapture His Own away, the Devil would want to, if at all possible, lure
Christians based upon their past weaknesses and personal flaws, thinking
that if he can cause anyone to backslide, to fall into sin, to do anything
which mars their personal relationship with Christ Jesus, that it MIGHT
(he can't be sure but he might hope) cause them to be left behind at the
appointed hour, which gives the Devil an extra opportunity to procure their
souls, an opportunity that would be lost if they are watching faithfully
for their Lord and Saviour, and are whisked away in that 'twinkling of
an eye'.
And even if such attempts to cause the moral failings
and backsliding of Christians did not result in their being left behind,
if they were indeed Raptured away at that moment, it would cause great
glee among the Devil and his demons if one of God's children were taken
up at a moment at which they were weak, indulging in carnal sins and excess,
for that would be embarassing and shameful, and if it grieved God's Holy
Spirit, so much the better.
So how might such things be accomplished?
The same way that the Devil used to lay claim to Christians
before they became Christians, with worldly attractions, with appeals to
whatever weaknesses any individual might have, money, sex, personal power,
pride, possessions, what's that? You say that you suddenly won a multi-million
dollar lotto jackpot? Yes it is true that Christians should not gamble,
but how many do anyway? How many have a secret sin that they keep in the
shadows? No shadow is dark enough or deep enough to hide such secret
sin from Almighty God, NOR to the demons that inhabit the atmosphere around
us, for Satan IS 'the prince of the power of the air', and that means that
his fallen angels have the same knowledge of what we do openly and secretly,
as do the Angels that answer only to the Most High God. And if sudden riches
fall into your hands, BEWARE!! Seek discernment and insight from the Holy
Spirit before reflexively shouting "Praise God!" because such sudden monetary
windfalls may NOT be of God, but of the god of *this* world...intended
only to blind you with wealth and prosperity and take your eyes off Christ.
Gentlemen, did you ever live a life of sexual sin before
you were washed in the Blood of Jesus, and made clean? Don't be surprised
if you see a sudden satanic resurrection of all sorts of sexual temptation,
wanton and promiscuous women, displaying stunning beauty on the outside,
but empty inside and filled only with demons who seek to devour your soul.
They know your past weaknesses, they will seek to exploit them. Ladies?
Is there suddenly a most handsome and attractive man paying attention to
you? Romantic, playful, friendly, so "sensitive", and makes your life long
partner look terribly dull in comparison? Remember too, that the
Devil knows that just as the male can be tempted with appeals to the carnal
flesh, that women can be tempted not only in that manner, but with subtle
manipulation and orchestration of their emotions as well.
Is there anyone who had a drug or alcohol dependency
problem before they placed themselves in Christ's Hands? Prepare for temptation
with the sudden and unexpected lure of 'free drinks', with the sly invitation
of "oh just one won't hurt a bit", or "c'mon, one puff of a joint won't
make you a pothead", or "they're just a couple of pills, what harm can
they do?" -- no matter where the temptation comes from, no matter the personal
vice that has either been conquered, is still being battled, or may perhaps
be defying your efforts even now to be evicted from your life, remember
that all of the scripted invitations, all of the justifications, all of
the fake smiles and friendly slaps on the back are all emblazoned with
two great big letters: " S.A." = "SATAN APPROVED"...
Now I did not write this with the intention of focusing
on the negative, but I have been witnessing every sort of vile, carnal
temptation rearing it's ugly head not only in my life, but in the lives
of many Christians. Some may weaken, some may fall, some may backslide
and be filled with shame and self-loathing. Some may wrestle mightily with
their own flesh, finding that their spirit and flesh are so diametrically
opposed that it causes physical pain and illness, and yes, some will stand
up, literally shout "Satan, get thee behind me!" just as our Saviour did,
and as they stand on the Power and the Authority of Jesus Christ, the enemy
must flee.
I believe sincerely that the increase in such personalized
attacks on Christians comes (of course) from the very pit of Hell itself,
and the intensity and frequency of such attacks is increasing because the
prophetic hour is late, and the Devil knows that he has but a short time
to work his wickedness upon the Earth. We need only take a casual glance
at the headlines each day to know that the depravity of our world is only
increasing, that evil has been unleashed upon the planet, and for all of
the well-intentioned efforts to find 'peace and safety', we all know that
God's Word has proclaimed without compromise that there shall be NO 'peace
and safety' until King Jesus Himself has established His Kingdom upon the
Earth, only then will we see true Justice prevail.
For those who are strong in the Lord and say "I won't
slip and fall", be wary that your pride does not delude you to the real
presence of weaknesses in your own personal life even now. For those who
understand what I'm talking about, who are wrestling and fighting 'the
good fight', resisting the temptations to the flesh, continue to "call
upon the Name of the Lord, and thou shalt be saved", Christ Jesus knows
how our spirits groan, how our corrupt flesh would drag us down if possible,
but He has delivered Victory unto us. For those who have fallen, who are
mired in secret sin, unspeakable things that shame them, who feel as if
they no longer have any relationship with the Lord Jesus, know that you
are being prayed for, know that there is yet "Power In The Blood of The
Lamb", and that like the prodigal child, you need only to ask forgiveness,
to confess whatever sin has taken hold of you, to say "Thy Face, oh Lord,
do I seek", let the tears flow, for a broken and contrite heart God will
not despise, His Holy Word has proclaimed it.
The Devil's War Room has all of us targeted, collectively
and individually. I invoke Psalms 91, and pray for us all, to be "covered
with His feathers, under His wings shall we trust, His Truth shall be our
shield and buckler."
Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
